resources On several occasions, I decided to use an unedited excerpt from the books I was reading to accompany the installations and exhibitions. As I once heard a curator remark: The problem with texts about artworks, is that people actually read them. So bearing that in mind I have decided to give the viewer the best quality read. I have found that as the work grew more and more self-sufficient in its expression and presence, it was of greater value sharing the resources and inspirations for the installations, rather than what I or anybody else thought of them. This is a list of some of those resources: St. Augustine, Ernest Becker, John Cage, Henry Nouwen, Frederich Buechner, Flanery O. Connor, Samuel Beckett, Jaques Maritain, T.S. Eliot, Albert Camus, John Ruskin, George Bataille, Merleau Ponty etc. |
